We are a full service firm of Chartered Professional Accountants with our offices centrally located in Kamloops. Founded in 1970, the firm has been providing value added services to clients across British Columbia for over forty years. Our breadth of knowledge and depth of experience is complemented by a wide array of management resources and support personnel. The firm continues to grow with a current team of 17, including 9 designated accountants. We provide a full range of services to our clients including accounting, taxation, assurance, consulting, succession and estate planning.

JASON O’DRISCOLL

Jason O’Driscoll, CPA, CA
Principal

Jason’s practice is a diverse one. He provides tax, estate, assurance and consulting advice to a wide range of individual clients and small and medium sized businesses in most industry and not-for-profit sectors. By specializing in taxation he leverages his in-depth skills to take a directed yet holistic approach and assist his clients to optimize planning opportunities while working with them to help minimize risk.


Jason grew up on a farm in Saskatchewan and obtained his Bachelor of Commerce, Majoring in Accounting from the University of Saskatchewan. He obtained his accounting designation in 2004 and practised in a variety of roles and industries throughout his career. He and his family moved to beautiful Kamloops after purchasing the Stone & Company practise in the spring of 2014.


Jason spends what free time he has with his family and attempting to keep active, with volleyball and skiing in the winter. In the summer, he enjoys hiking and boating and manages to find time to play a little golf. He thoroughly enjoys hunting, fishing, ATVing and snowmobiling and plans to take more time to experience the amazing variety of outdoor activities the interior of BC has to offer.

Kevin Hatch

Kevin has been working as an accountant in public practice since 1998. He obtained his CGA designation in August 2004. Kevin enjoys helping small and medium-sized businesses understand their financial results and explore ways to improve those results. He specializes in providing accounting, tax and software support services.

Kevin was born and raised on Vancouver Island, in Nanaimo B.C. He graduated from Malaspina University College in 1998. After graduation Kevin moved to Kamloops, and he joined Hazell & Company in September of 2000. Kevin became a partner in Hazell & Company in 2013.


Kevin is married and has 2 sons. In his free time, Kevin enjoys keeping physically active. In the winter, he spends his time skiing with his family and playing hockey. In the spring and summer months, he enjoys camping and playing slo-pitch softball. Kevin is actively involved in the Kamloops Sports Community as a hockey, baseball and soccer coach.

KEVIN SEEVERS, CPA

KEVIN SEEVERS, CPA

Kevin's family have been members of the Kamloops business community for three generations. He followed in their steps and began his career as a business owner before transitioning into the accounting field. Kevin provides accounting services and advice to both the business and not-for-profit sectors. Additionally, as a former business owner, Kevin brings a unique and pragmatic perspective to each client file.


He is a graduate of Thompson Rivers University and obtained his CPA designation in 2014. His professional activities extend to his involvement with the Kamloops CPA Chapter, where he was Treasurer. Kevin also enjoys his teaching responsibilities with the CPA Association Financial Literacy Program, providing grassroots financial literacy education in the community, and the CPA Western School of Business, training students seeking their CPA designation. 


Kevin lives with his wife and their two cats. In his free time, he enjoys hiking in the Wells Grey and Shuswap areas, kayaking at Adams lake and gardening at home.

Dan Hazell

Dan Hazell, CPA, CGA

Dan Hazell is a CPA, CGA who graduated from the Business Administration Diploma Program at Cariboo College (now Thompson Rivers University) as a Charter Student in 1972. He obtained his Certified General Accountant designation in 1976.


Dan started his Public Practice career with the firm of Rudd, Gould & Elliott after his graduation from Cariboo College in 1972. Subsequently in November 1978, Dan started his own accounting practice, Hazell & Co. which he operated as proprietor / partner until the merger with Stone & Company in July 2016.


Dan has many years of Public Practice experience working closely with his clients in his preferred area of practice, which includes corporate and personal accounting, as well as taxation services to small to medium size businesses and individual clients. Dan’s many years in Public Practice helps him guide his clients to an understanding of how the decisions they make today can impact the value of their business and personal affairs tomorrow.


Dan’s favourite pastimes include fishing, bowling, woodworking and spending quality time with his family and friends.
