Robert E. Lawrie (Bob) is celebrating his 50th year with the firm. He was hired as an articling student by Marvin Stone in October 1972 and graduated as a Certified General Accountant in 1977, becoming a partner in 1978. He was a member of various partnerships over the years lastly with Silvia Scheibenpflug when their practice was purchased by Jason and Lesley O’Driscoll in the spring of 2014. Both Bob and Silvia remain on contract with the firm and assist during peak periods as well as maintain many client relationships that they have gained over their many years of practice.
Bob was born in Victoria and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Victoria in 1970. He moved to Kamloops with his wife and children in 1971 as he believed it was the most beautiful city in B.C. He continues to enjoy camping, hunting, fishing, riding ATV’s and snowmobiling.
Bob is married to Lynn, a retired Registered Nurse and most of his children and grandchildren live in the Kamloops area. He has no plans to change and like a good scotch continues to get better as he ages.
Stone Hazell & Company congratulates Bob on this momentous milestone and collectively agree that he definitely chose the right profession. No one here has encountered someone more passionate about tax or helping those in need of accounting or tax assistance. His cowboy action “handle” is the “Taxridder” and it is very fitting.
